Earth Day Reality
After a horrendous week and the ongoing media coverage about the Virginia Tech shootings one thing keeps coming to mind...if people were less self-absorbed and self-centered there would be more people willing to do for others and less concerned about getting what they want (or worse, want and feel they deserve, even if they don't).
The shooter who took innocent lives obviously had mental problems. I can't help but wonder if part of his motivation was to be remembered for something and in his sick mind it was to do what he did.
But I digress from the point of this entry. Earth Day is Sunday, April 22. I'm not a huge environmentalist or "tree-hugger", but I do think we should take care of our resources and our planet. I know I can do more to live environmentally friendly. Maybe it just starts with an awareness of what we can do.
Co-Op America has many practical suggestions for everyday people like you and I.
